Protos Thunder FC Sondhi Handcrafted Cricket Bat SH 2lbs 9oz. This one has a total of 6 straight and even grains that run nicely through the back of the bat.
Made in the FC Sondhi factory, which has an extremely high level of production. In terms of finishing and pressing, they are right up there with the best. (This is where the New Balance bats are also made)
The edges come in at 37mm and the spine at 61mm, the profile is quite full with only a touch of concaving. I would say this one has a mid-low middle.
The bat weighs 2lbs 9.9oz, so just a smidge under 2.10. The weight of course includes the manufacturer fitted anti-scuff sheet, so if you decided to take that off then the bat would be lighter. The handle is round and has an average thickness.
It comes with the high quality Protos padded bat cover, these are worth at least £10.
