Protos Blizzard FC Sondhi Handcrafted Cricket Bat 2lbs 9oz. This bat has a total of 6 even grains with no heartwood at all.
Made in the FC Sondhi factory, which has an extremely high level of production. In terms of finishing and pressing, they are right up there with the best. (This is where the New Balance bats are also made)
This one is a quite big bat, with 40mm+ edges and a 64mm spine. It has a very chunky profile with a mid-low middle I would say. There is a small amount of concaving.
It weighs 2lbs 9.9oz, however when I first tested the pickup I would have expected it to be in the 2.8 range. It is incredibly well balanced and picks up AMAZINGLY well. It has the best pickup for the weight out of any bat that I have.
It comes with the high quality Protos padded bat cover that you see pictured, this is worth at least £10.
