7 fairly even grains, minimal blemishing with a small bit of heartwood on the corner.
It is a well pressed bat that has an excellent initial mallet response, this will only get better once the bat has been fully prepared and knocked in.
The bat weighs 2lbs 8.4oz and picks up extraordinarily well, it feels great in the hands. The handle is on the thinner side, but I wouldn't say it is a problem due to the light weight and pickup.
The edges come in at 38mm, and the spine has a peak of 60mm. The profile is very full with barely any concaving.
The bat comes with one of the best bat covers that I have right now, this is worth at least £15 and offers excellent protection.
